To be titled “How I Met Your Father”, the spin-off will feature a new set of New Yorkers trying to guide the kids of one chronicle female amongst them through how she met their father. Carter and Thomas said they’ve always discussed about making a spin-off as far back as 2005 considering the fact that they want the show to continue to air for long but in a different way.

Kim Kardashian had a lot of catching up to do in her first big late-night TV interview since becoming a mom. On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Wednesday, Kim Kardashian touched on a number of topics– wedding planning, her daughter North West, her engagement to Kanye West and that eye-popping selfie she posted recently in which she flashed major side boob and some serious booty. Kim, who revealed to Jay that she is “50 pounds down” with the help of exercise and the Atkins diet, explained that all of the criticism directed at her weight while she was pregnant “really did affect” her. “It really hurt my soul,” she said. “It changed how I am in the public a little bit…There were these stories where I was, like, 200 pounds. I was gaining weight because I was pregnant and it was really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things. And I think people sometimes question, they think I’m out ‘in hiding’ now.

President Barack Obama's health secretary publicly apologized Wednesday for the rocky rollout of the US health care law's new website, stressing that citizens "deserve better" from the system. But while Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius regretted that navigating HealthCare.gov has been a "miserably frustrating experience" for many, she insisted that so-called Obamacare has been working well for millions of Americans. For his part, Obama traveled to Massachusetts to defend his signature reforms in the state where in 2006 his former Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney adopted a system similar to the Affordable Care Act. "Today, 97 percent of Massachusetts residents have health insurance coverage and the primary attacks against this law -? many of which we are hearing again today about the ACA ?- never proved true," a White House official said. Josh Earnest, a White House spokesman, told reporters aboard Air Force One that "obviously governor Romney's efforts to work in bipartisan fashion to pass health care reform in Massachusetts will be the subject of the president's comments today." Sebelius, the point woman for the new health care law, sounded chastened about the trouble-plagued online portal through which millions are expected to register for health insurance. "Let me say directly to these Americans: You deserve better. I apologize. I'm accountable to you for fixing these problems," Sebelius, the seniormost administration official to testify before Congress on the law, told a closely-watched panel in the House of Representatives. And when Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn grilled her and suggested she was seeking to pawn off responsibility on contractors like Verizon, Sebelius interrupted to say she herself would take the heat. "Hold me accountable for the debacle. I'm responsible," she said. HealthCare.gov, which allows access to exchange marketplaces where Americans can purchase private insurance, debuted on October 1. Committee Chairman Fred Upton said he has seen little improvement in the website's performance since then, noting that his staff was "hit with an error message" even as they tried to use the page early Wednesday. "Sadly here we are now five weeks into enrollment and the news seems to get worse by the day," Upton said. "After more than three years to prepare, malfunctions have become the norm." Sebelius' appearance came at the third hearing in a week addressing the faulty start to Obamacare. Critics like Blackburn have focused on how the law is booting millions of people off their plans, years after Obama told Americans that, if they liked their coverage, they could keep it. Sebelius countered that insurance companies routinely alter coverage in the individual market, and that people on these plans often hold them for less than a year. And skeleton policies that do not measure up to Obamacare's rules, including not providing free mammograms or charging women 50 percent more than men, will need to be changed to conform to the law. "If someone is buying a brand new policy... they will have consumer protections for the first time," Sebelius said. With Republicans seizing on the policy cancellations letters, Sebelius pushed back, saying it was insurance companies altering their inadequate plans in order to conform with Obamacare. "This market has always been the Wild West," she said of the individual marketplace, in which some five percent of Americans buy health coverage. Republican Joe Barton took a swipe at Sebelius, a former Kansas governor, by suggesting she might be in over her head. "We're not in Kansas anymore," Barton sneered. "Some might say that we are actually in 'Wizard of Oz' land given the parallel universes we appear to be habitating." But Democrats like Henry Waxman rode to Sebelius's rescue. "I would urge my colleagues to stop hyperventilating," he said. "The early glitches in this rollout will soon be forgotten... and then every American will finally have access to affordable health insurance." Last week, the lead contractors, which collectively have been paid hundreds of millions of dollars to create and manage the website, said there was insufficient testing of the online portal. Asked if the two weeks of end-to-end testing was enough, Sebelius replied "clearly not." As critics pounced on the website's shortcomings, Democrat Eliot Engel noted the irony of Republicans who abhored the premise of Obamacare yet were making a "big show" about how Americans cannot get access to the health care options fast enough. "You're really on the wrong side of history here," Engel told Republicans. In defending the site, Sebelius at one point said "the website has never crashed" although it has been slow. That prompted rapid-fire reaction by House Speaker John Boehner, who tweeted a Wednesday photo showing HealthCare.gov, bearing the message: "The system is down at the moment."

Ever struggle to type accurately on your new iPhone, or find that your finger isn't 'tapping' where you expect it to? A new report from Finnish technology analysts OptoFidelity has revealed 'significant fails' in the iPhone's touch accuracy. The surprising news shows that the screens on both the iPhone 5S and 5C are inaccurate across approximately 75% of their area. In comparison, a Samsung Galaxy S3 tested by OptoFidelity showed the same level of accuracy across the screen, only losing accuracy along the edges. The tests were carried out using a 'robotic finger', called a Touch Panel Performance Tester (TPPT), that taps the screen and tracks its precise coordinates along with the exact point at which the screen 'thinks' it was touched. The results showed that over 75% of the screen, Apple's phones recorded a touch point that was more than 1mm away from the actual coordinate of the TPPT. Accuracy was the same on the 5S and 5C screens. Both showed perfect accuracy across the lower left hand quarter of the screen, but results worsened towards the edges of the screen as well as across the upper section. Apple claims that its phones feature 'perspective correction' technology which compensates for the angle of vision and ensures that you click what you expect regardless of where it is on the screen. The main consequence of any inaccuracies on the iPhone's screen is likely to be in texting, with the Q, P, O and I keys all affected, as well as the backspace key. OptoFidelity says they will not comment on any 'alleged perspective compensation features of Apple Products'. They point out that the accuracy tested by the TPPT is at a finer level than most people will recognize, but note that 'Typing errors occur when a user touches close to the edge of a button.' As well as assessing the screen performance, OptoFidelity also tested the iPhone 5S and 5C for their web browsing and camera performance, and found that both significantly outperformed the Galaxy S3, opening browser windows quicker and launching the camera application quicker.

Asian markets suffered a glancing blow on Thursday after the U.S. Federal Reserve's latest policy outlook was deemed less dovish than some had wagered on, lifting both bond yields and the dollar. The damage was mostly superficial with MSCI's index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan off just 0.6 percent. Shares in Shanghai lost 0.6 percent, while Australian markets held steady. European stocks were also seen pulling back from five-year highs when they open on Thursday. Financial spreadbetters expect Britain's FTSE 100 to open 14 to 22 points lower, or as much as 0.3 percent, Germany's DAX to open 35 to 47 points lower, or as much as 0.5 percent, and France's CAC 40 to open 11 to 17 points lower, or as much as 0.4 percent. In Asia, sentiment was helped by the Bank of Japan's decision to stick with its massive stimulus program that has shown tentative signs of breaking the grip of deflation. A survey of Japanese manufacturing out on Thursday showed activity accelerated to its fastest in more than three years in September [ID:nT9N0HP008], although Japan's Nikkei fell 1.2 percent in late trading as corporate earnings from the likes of Honda Motor Co Ltd disappointed investors. There was also upbeat news from Australia where approvals to build new homes surged to their highest since early 2010, concrete evidence that record-low interest rates were working to support economic growth. These factors helped lessen the drag from Wall Street, which had slipped after the U.S. central bank kept its $85 billion-a-month stimulus plan intact but did not sound quite as alarmed about the state of the economy as some had anticipated. Given U.S. shares had reached record highs this week, the resulting profit-taking came as no surprise. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.39 percent and the S&P 500 lost 0.49 percent. The MSCI world equity index showed even less damage, easing 0.3 percent from a high not seen since January 2008. Dealers said the market had talked itself into expecting the Fed would make dovish changes to the statement, so it was somehow considered "hawkish" when those did not materialise. "We interpreted the statement as neutral and balanced and think the Fed is essentially in a holding pattern," said analysts at Australia and New Zealand Bank. "If anything, the assessment section was a touch softer, suggesting the Fed are not trying to give the impression that it is setting up for a December move." STILL EYEING MARCH Much of the market is still not pricing in a start of tapering until March, when the Fed policy meeting will include new economic forecasts from officials and a news conference by the Fed Chairman. It was notable that Fed funds futures barely budged on the statement, showing investors still did not expect any increase in official rates until well into 2015. Likewise, short-dated Treasury yields stayed well anchored while the longer end moved up only modestly. Yields on the 10-year note were steady at 2.53 percent, and far below the 3 percent peak hit in early September. Currency moves were also moderate, with the U.S. dollar edging further away from recent lows. The dollar index edged fractionally higher on the day to 79.867. The euro dipped to $1.3696, losing gains made Wednesday after data showed a jump in euro zone sentiment in October. The dollar fared better against the yen to reach 98.30, a move that failed to support Japanese stocks. There was more action in the New Zealand dollar which bounced after the country's central bank said increases in interest rates were still likely to be needed next year, putting it well ahead of most other developed economies in tightening. The currency rallied as much as half a U.S. cent in reaction, though the central bank also noted that a strong currency meant it might be able to wait longer before having to raise rates. In commodities, spot gold faded after rising the most in a week at one stage on Wednesday. Gold fetched $1,338.73 an ounce, down from a high of $1,359.16. Brent crude eased 25 cents to $109.61 a barrel but that followed gains on Wednesday as export disruptions in Libya continued to cut supplies to Europe and Asia. The benchmark U.S. contract was off 22 cents at $96.55 a barrel after a bigger-than-expected increase in inventories in the United States.

Jose Mourinho was seen striding around the Emirates clutching an Arsenalshirt after Chelsea's 2-0 Capital One Cup winover the London club, but why? It certainly wasn't to antagonise the home fans or gloat over Chelsea's London rivals - it was actually for a very different reason. Arsenal's star midfielder Mesut Ozil played the final half hour of the match and after the final whistle blew, he shared a tender moment with the man who coached him at Real Madrid. Before they both moved to London over the summer, Mourinho coached Ozil at the Bernabeu to great success and the pair clearly have a special relationship. Ozil gave Mourinho his shirt and shared a warm embrace with the Chelseamanager, which may not have delighted current manager Arsene Wenger. (Getty) The Germany midfielder told Bild earlier this month that he and Mourinho have remained in close contact since they both left Madrid. Ozil revealed that Mourinho sent him a "Welcome to London" text when he first joined Arsenal and has looked out for his former charge since he arrived in the city. It certainly was a heartwarming image and one which bears out how some players feel about working with the 'Special One'. Mourinho did not always get on with all of his players at Real Madrid, but there were obviously some who continue to hold the coach in the very highest regard. For Ozil it clearly was very special indeed.

A man wrote goodbye letters to his family as he lay dying in the wreckage of his van after crashing into a remote ravine in Utah. David Welch, 54, disappeared after leaving home in Manhattan, Kansas, on September 3. His body was discovered on October 18 by a hitchhiker who spotted the crash site on a desolate stretch of Interstate 70 - more than 50 miles from any town and nearly 900 miles from his home. Mr Welch was injured in the crash and was unable to get out of his vehicle. According to reports the salesman could have survived for more than a week and during this time he kept a diary and wrote notes to his wife Kelly and four sons. Utah Highway Patrol Lt Scott Robertson told the Salt Lake Tribune: "It's a pretty lonely stretch out there." But when asked what the letters contained he told the paper it was "a pretty private matter". The Tribune quoted Mr Welsh's wife Kelly as saying on Twitter: "Dave was entrapped in the vehicle down the 80ft ravine, he wrote each of us a love note. "He knew he was dying and there was no way out." Police have said they do not know why Mr Welch left his home without telling his family where he was going and there are no clues suggesting why he was driving through Utah.

Nigeriamidfielder Mikel Obihas spoken about the influence of Jose Mourinhoin his second stint at Chelseaand what he has added to the team. “This game is all about winning and the manager that brought this transformation of winning to this club is back now,” Mikel toldChelsea TVbefore the Capital One Cup win over Arsenal on Tuesday. "He still has the same idea of how he wants us to approach every game with a win, win mentality. "I came to this club at 18 and he made me to think win, win, win,” Mikel added. Mikel also revealed that the players get motivated just seeing Mourinho. “Whenever you see him, you see motivation. You see him walking around the place…motivation. “He walks around the place full of energy, full of confidence. And really, he is not doing it for himself but for you to see how he goes about his business and he wants you to emulate that into yourself and start behaving in a similar way. "This is because confidence can lead you to so many places that you never thought you could go and it is just brilliant to work with him again. “And now that he is back, we hope that we can continue winning the trophies that we won since he left,” Mikel concluded.

The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency, Dr. Seidu Mohammed, claims that on Sunday Nigerians will witness a partial or even total solar eclipse.Mohammed made this known at the briefing in Abuja. He urged Nigerians not to panic over the course of the eclipse. According to his words, the eclipse will be seen across the country and in the West African sub-region. “Different cultures have different reactions to them. Fifa president Sepp Blatter has issued a public apology to Cristiano Ronaldofor disparaging remarks he made about the Real Madridstar. During a debate at Oxford University over the respective merits of the Portugal international and Barcelona ace Lionel Messi, Blatter joked that "one spends more time at the hairdresser's than the other". Ronaldo took great offence, insinuating that the jibe merely underlined Fifa's bias against him and his club, but Blatter has now moved to calm the controversy by tweeting the 28-year-old attacker. "I apologise if you were upset by my light-hearted answer at private event on Friday," the Swiss wrote to Ronaldo's official Twitter account. "I never meant to offend you. "I am an honorary 'socio' at Real Madrid and explained we've many talented players in world game, including you. Best wishes." Blatter also addressed an open letter to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to apologise for any offence caused. He said: "Dear President, I have received your letter today, the contents of which surprised me. "I want to clarify that for me Cristiano Ronaldo is at the same level as Messi and they are both outstanding players, each in their own way. "I'm sorry that this situation produced in a university event hurt as much as it did, and I apologise for it. "It was never my intention to embarrass or disrespect Real Madrid or one of their players or the fans, not only for being the founder of the Fifa club but also for being the club that I follow and admire from my youth." Barcelona forward Messi has pipped Ronaldo to the last four Fifa Ballon d'Or awards.

If you think Kanye West’s proposal to Kim Kardashian was over the top, just wait for the wedding. On Monday, Oct. 28, the hip hop star stopped by radio station Power 106 for an interview with Big Boy Neighborhood, in which he hinted that there’d be some big surprises — bigger than both the baseball stadium where he popped the question and Kardashian’s massive diamond ring — when he and his fiancee eventually tie the knot. Confessing to Big Boy that the couple are aiming to marry sometime “next summer,” the 36-year-old “Black Skinhead” rapper offered just one other tantalizing tease. “Two words,” he said when asked about the wedding. “Fighter jets.” Given West’s penchant for grand romantic gestures — and his very high opinion of himself and “his girl” — fighter jets might actually be within the realm of possibility. One thing is certain: It’s going to take something pretty huge to top his marriage proposal at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

If I’m Dreaming I Don’t Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!:) However, from a previous interview with Angie Martinez, Future said he saw her[Ciara] on a video set seven years ago and said he would have her one day. He added, “I don’t get into nothing to get out. We haven’t set a date [but] this is the one. I said it before, I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be.” Also, when Ciara talked to popular gossip site, NicholeBitchie few months ago, she revealed her desire to find the one: “I really believe that love is everything. It is so necessary, without love you have nothing. You can’t live without love in my book and in my world. I sacrifice pretty much all of my time for my career and there has to be a balance to it. What good is having success in your work but not being able to share it with someone? That’s not living to me. Having career success is important but having life success is even more important to me. Especially, now more than ever it’s a must. I look ahead and I look forward to knowing who I am going to spend my life with. I can go rock the stage, but to know when I go home, my baby or my boo is waiting for me, that’s fun and that is the icing on the cake. Congrats to the happy couple!!! Whenever a baby bomb pops out, we will let y’all know asap!

Manchester Citymidfielder Yaya Toure was subjected to noises that sounded like monkey chanting as his side faced CSKA Moscow in Russia on Wednesday. City have confirmed that they intend to submit an official complaint to UEFA over the alleged abuse, and a club official even spoke to the match delegate from the organisation after the match at the Arena Khimki with a written complaint to follow. Toure spoke of his sadness over the matter at the end of the game after he appeared to point to referee Ovidiu Hategan to identify specific sections of the CSKA supporters who were allegedly abusing him. The midfielder has been widely commended for his inspirational and dignified response to the incidents and in reporting what happened via social media and interviews. The Ivory Coast international told Sky Sports: "It is quite disappointing when you're talking about people continuing to do that. "It is unbelievable and very sad on my part. "I think UEFA need to do something strong. It would be nice if we could stop that. "Some of the songs today were quite stupid and I think UEFA has to do the work. "Every time we say something it continues, something has to be done to stop it." The papers were full of praise for the way that the City star reactedto the reported abuse and spoke with such 'strength' and 'class' after the match. Toure Tweeted after the match: "Thank you for your support! Hate or racism cannot affect me when so many people are showing me love and support on a daily basis! Controversially, City were later fined £24,740 for delaying the kick-off of the second half of that same game by one minute. All eyes will now be on UEFA to see if they react strongly enough to this most recent episode.

The late pop music icon might be gone for over four years now, but Michael Jackson still manage to stay on top as the highest earning dead celebrity. Jackson with a gross income of $160 million between 2012-2013 gently surpassed the dead and still topped the living as his earning went past Madonna’s $125 million, who happens to be the highest earning celebrity for the year 2013. Still living of course. Michael who died in 2009 from an overdose of drugs administered by a Doctor gets his income still from from a largely sold out song titled “One”, two Cirque du Solell shows and the sale at “Immortal” which has grossed at $300 million since its opening. In second place on the famous dead rich list is Elvis Prestley who comes in at $55 million and is followed by Charles Schutz with $37 million total income. Others on the list includes Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, Bruce Lee, Steve McQueen, Jenni Rivera, Bettle Page and the legendary Bob Marley.

Prince George’s big day is finally here! The littlest British royal made his first major fashion statement at his christening today, wearing a frilly traditional ivory christening gown created by his great-grandmother’s favorite designer, Angela Kelly. But even all that lace plus the adorable chubby cheeks (seriously, this is one cute kid) couldn’t overshadow his chic mommy and aunt, who also chose ivory outfits. The Duchess of Cambridge was glowing as usual in a ruffly Alexander McQueen dress with a peplum top, a swingy ivory skirt and a matching Jane Taylor hat tilted to the side (natch). Pippa Middleton showed up with her proud parents wearing a trapeze coat over a lace dress from the London boutique Suzannah, styled by Suzannah Crabb herself. She also had on a fascinator from Edwina Ibbotson. Pippa was not among the seven individuals named as godparents to Georgie, but she did participate in the christening ceremony with a reading from St. Luke ch. 18, verses 15-17. (Prince Harry did one from St. John ch. 15, verses 1-5.) Prince William also looked quite nice for the occasion, wearing a bright blue tie plus a sharp pocket square. But really, Georgie is the star today. Check out photos from the christening at St. James’s Palace. Think Georgie looks more like his mum or his dad?
